1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when and how YesMeta issues refunds for Premium subscriptions purchased on YesMeta.com. It applies to all plans and billing cycles (monthly and annual) paid through our checkout processor, Polar. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Service.

2. Refund Eligibility

You are eligible for a refund only when all of the following are true:

You request the refund within the applicable refund period defined in Section 3.
The refund request is for an actual defect, bug, or extended outage in the Premium Service that materially impairs its core value, and that YesMeta has been unable to resolve within a reasonable time after you have notified support and given us a chance to fix it.
You have not engaged in fraudulent, abusive, or prohibited use of the Service (as defined in the Acceptable Use Policy or Terms of Service).
The subscription being refunded was not already refunded once, and was not previously the subject of a chargeback or payment dispute.
For annual plans specifically: you have not already consumed more than 30 days of the subscription term, or the issue you are reporting is catastrophic (service-level outage, total unavailability) that the team cannot remediate in under 72 hours.

Pure "change of mind", buyer's remorse, or a subscription you simply forgot to cancel before auto-renewal are not eligible for a refund under this policy — although exceptions may be granted at our sole discretion under Section 8.

3. Refund Period

Monthly plans: 14 calendar days from the date of the initial purchase or from each renewal date.
Annual plans: 30 calendar days from the date of the initial purchase or from each renewal date.

The refund period expires at 23:59 UTC on the final day. Refund requests received outside the applicable window will only be processed under the Exceptions section below.

4. Post-Cancellation Retention of Access

If you cancel your subscription (as opposed to requesting a refund), the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, not immediately. You keep full Premium access until that term expires, even though no further charge will occur. There is no partial-period refund for a standard cancel-by-end-of-term (see Section 5).

5. Partial-Period Refunds

Standard self-serve cancellations in the Polar Customer Portal do not trigger any pro-rated or partial-period refund. Your Premium access simply continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, then ends gracefully.

Partial refunds are only issued in two specific cases:

Where YesMeta initiated a material degradation or suspension of the Premium service that lasted more than 48 continuous hours during your billing cycle, and we were unable to remedy it. In such cases the refund amount will be calculated on a pro-rated daily basis from the first day of the outage, capped at the amount paid for the current cycle.
Where the customer has submitted a support request with evidence of a critical issue, YesMeta agrees that a partial refund is appropriate, and support has specifically confirmed the refund amount in writing before processing it through Polar.

Where a partial refund is issued, Premium access is retained for the remainder of the current billing term. Your plan does not immediately downgrade.

6. How Users Request Refunds

To request a refund:

Send an email to support@yesmeta.com with the subject line "Refund Request — [Polar Transaction ID or email used at checkout]".
Include: your full name, the email address used to subscribe, the Polar transaction ID or order ID (found in your receipt email), the date of purchase, and a clear description of the issue and the steps you took to reproduce it.
Where applicable, attach screenshots, recordings, error IDs, or tool-result URLs that evidence the defect.
We will acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and respond with a final decision within 10 business days of acknowledgement.
If approved, refunds are processed via Polar back to your original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.

Please do not file a chargeback with your card issuer before contacting us — a chargeback disqualifies you from all future refund consideration and may result in account suspension, whereas most legitimate disputes are resolved faster via our support process.

7. Charge Disputes & Chargebacks

If Polar or your card issuer notifies us of a charge dispute or chargeback, we reserve the right to suspend your account until the dispute is resolved. If the chargeback is resolved in your favor and a refund is issued by the card network, no additional refund will be issued by YesMeta on top of that. We provide evidence of delivery of service to our payment processor for every chargeback we receive.

8. Exceptions

YesMeta may, in its sole and absolute discretion, offer refunds, credits, or extensions outside the eligibility rules above. Examples of circumstances we occasionally treat as exceptions include:

First-time annual renewals where the customer can demonstrate they genuinely did not see the renewal reminder and did not use Premium features in the new cycle.
Accidental double-purchase of the same plan.
Medical emergencies or documented hardship.
Cases where our support team explicitly recommended Premium for a use case that we later confirmed is not supported by the current product.

Exception requests follow the same email support process as standard refunds. Any exception we grant to one customer does not create an entitlement for any other customer or become part of this policy.

9. Policy Alignment with Polar

This Refund Policy has been written to be consistent with the Merchant of Record terms and refund capabilities of Polar (our payment processor). Where Polar requires specific verbiage or disclosures for hosted checkout, the statements shown on your Polar checkout summary are consistent with this policy. If there is a material conflict, you may report it to support@yesmeta.com and we will correct the discrepancy.

10. Updates

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by a new effective date, and your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
